Summer Day's

Summer breeze blowing, sunshine glowing
making the most of a beautiful day.
Watching birds fly, telling fish lies
life feels good, there's so much more to say.

Dogs bark over the song of the meadow lark,

tree's leaves rustle in the breeze.

Shade happens, cool drinks, bare feet,

swimming in the lake, and nappin,

so many different ways to play.

Picnic with a horse ride, and bikes wheeling to the far side
think I found the perfect place to stay.

Ice in the fridge, squirt guns behind the ridge
first kisses just as night takes day away.

So many stars in the sky, tired babe's that won't cry
and moonbeams keeping bright along the way.
Walks in the woods, ghost stories by the fire
singing songs that bring an end to your crazy day.

Musty tents laid out, dream's of tomorrow's trout,
sleeping bags spread out on top of hay.

Ice cream late at night, dreams without the fright,
hoping for just one more fun day.

Waking up with smiles, no city sounds for miles,
sun sitting atop the water, start the play!
So starts another day
wish summer was here to stay
anyway I can dream of things today.
